Question about your trolling technique on Lake Nasser?

Mr. Dahlberg:

I was watching your DVD yesterday and you made it look so easy when you used your "wire rig" for trolling Nile perch. The rig was wire, a 3oz sinker, and a CD22 Rapala. How did you measure your line to drop the lure down to where the fish were? They looked pretty deep. I really struggle with getting the right trolling depth.

Hi Q,
I dropped it to the bottom, them cranked it up the distance I needed to put in front of the fish.
Measure the amount of line per crank, then count. It's usually a couple of feet per crank.
