Stuck a nice fish on my 6" swimbait. Here's a photo of the lure. Painted with alumidust and did a layered pour too.

Took the 10" eel out for its maiden voyage last night with some decent results. Not a slob but still fun. Went 4-5.

Here's the design

Next time you're in the Boston area or Cape Cod give me a call Mike! I'll take you striper fishing.

Sounds awesome. Appreciate the invite. Will definitely take you up on that ... now just need a trip to Boston to pop up in my future.

Tell then ... just keep sending me jealously ... I mean "validation" pictures so I can live vicariously through you.

Sorry Badger but I don't think Personal Messages are enabled on this web site. You might need to just give him an email in the open text.

Hey Dan you can just ask me anything you'd like on this or any of my other threads too.

Rhett,

I want to know what I need to buy to start working on Whiggleys. Also, is there a Whiggley template so that I get the lure proportions right, such as length-width ratio, proper taper, etc.
Thanks,
Dan

Here's what I use:
-sculpy pro
-High Strength 2
- Vaseline to keep the parts of the mold from sticking when you pour the second half
- plastisol
-softener
- some type of steel shot or bee bees (to keel weight the bait)
- thick bendable brass wire, or 350 pound twist on leader will work too.
- aquarium tubing for the eyes
- I get the large size eyes from the make lure website for anything over 8", the medium ones for 8" and under

No template that I know of but you can search through the wiggle posts on here and see what everyone else is doing. Part of the challenge is figuring it out through trial and error- it's kind of like studying for a test. Took me a few attempts to get right. Several actually. But when it works right it's sweet.
