Questions about Making Your Own Lures

Success

Proud to say I finally caught a muskie on "my own" pseudo-whiggley. I bought a 2 pack last summer and had some action but never landed one (so it goes sometimes). The River 2 Sea baits have lately split around the head. So, I stole the insert for the leader and inserted into my mold added a 1/4 oz tube weight to the belly so that sinks slowly and almost completely horizontal. Anywho, after a 3 layered pour, some glitter, a dry erase marker and a clear alumisol dip, this is what you get. http://s1347.photobucket.com/user/cuzzi ... 0.jpg.html

It's a little rough since it's the first mold. I plan on trying to clean up the process, but I have to say I appreciate all the posts by fans and budding lure builders as well as the advice offered my Larry & Mike.

Thanks.

I had intended to share that. Wish it a better picture but you get what you get with a cell phone and a quick bank fishing trip, alone. 35" and I couldn't have cared less how big it was. :P
