Hi and thank you!

Hello everyone. Brand new to the board but plan on becomming a member of your community.

I had the pleasure of seeing and listening to Mr. Dahlberg last weekend at Thorne Bros. Spring Sale. I'm just fascinated by Mr. Dahlberg's stories and helpful tips and tricks, I was really excited to hear what he had to say.
I was interupted a couple times by the late arrival of family who were meeting me at Thorne Bros. and a potty break for my 5-year old son, but still got some great tips, fascinating lure modifications, and even got to hold Mr. Whiggley! (My son's favorite part)
Anyway, the highlight was when my son and I were able to get a Wide Glide and Whopper Plopper package autographed by the man himself. Larry spent at least 10 minutes entertaining my son and niece with simple conversation and humor. I really have to agree with another community member in a different section that Larry is nicer than what he appears on TV. I'm not sure if my son will remember meeting the legend, but it's certainly something I'll never forget, and I sincerely thank you for your time and taking the time to have some fun with the kids.

I have a tendancy to make short stories long, so appologies for my awkward introduction.

Here's my son hosting his own TV show. He's demonstrating the Whopper Plopper he picked out from Thorne Bros.
He gets his finger bit my a hook momentarily but isn't hurt, cracks me up when he looks at it the second time.

Hi everyone, if you've got about 30 seconds of free time, my son did another video on how to tie a clinch knot. His instructions aren't clear for someone who is looking to learn the knot, but that's besides the point. He's super cute and you can see his excitement after he ties it. Have a good weekend!

Thanks,
Brian

I've been looking for a stunt double, but he's got too much hair! Loved the video, you've got a great fishing companion for many years to come!
Loved the video!

It's been almost a year since this post was new?! Yikes, time flies!

Anywho... My son and I were in attendance for your seminar at George's Muskie Expo last weekend. Good stuff as usual, and I joined Muskies Inc. just like you told me 8)

But I wanted to share this with you: http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/u45 ... xbm2nl.jpg

In my son's Kindergarten class each Monday, the children write and illustrate what they did over the weekend. My son drew us at the Expo and even drops your name, Larry. The little guy holding the big guy's hand is he and I, the guy on the left is Larry, and the area on the right is the Thorne Bros. booth.
And to translate his Hieroglyphics: "I wet to the feshing xbo i so laredobre." means: "I went to the fishing expo, I saw Larry Dahlberg"

He had a blast and he wanted to show you the lures he made in the children's area: http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/u45 ... z3zdgd.jpg
but we were short on time and he wanted to visit the trout pond one more time before we had to leave. http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/u45 ... shhjxr.jpg

Have a good weekend to anyone who reads this :D

Thanks so much for the post and sharing those great pictures. It warms my heart! Wish you'd grabbed my sleeve and introduced me!
Totally precious, and it looks like you've got a steady pal to fish with for several years in the future. What great memories and experiences lie in wait for the two of you!

We got permission from Mom to let us go out to Thorne Bros. on Saturday. He's really excited, so if you don't mind, we'll tug on your sleeve and introduce ourselves 8)

See you then!

New video for anyone interested...

Here my son imitates what he saw on the Detroit Lakes Muskie episode of HFBF from the 2014 season.
