Whiggley for Muskies

Postby RhettWheeler » Mon Feb 10, 2014 10:17 am

Hey Larry,

Quick question:
I'm pretty new to musky fishing and am wondering what water temps do you generally start fishing a Mr. Whiggley for muskies?

I have a spot that is a creek that feeds into a river system about an hour from where I live. The muskies generally stalk these waters early spring throughout the summer hanging out in laydowns. The creek is relatively narrow (I could easily cast across it), but about 6-10 ft deep in parts.

I'm thinking i should probably cast parallel to the laydowns and run whiggley past them with good pauses. What approach would you take for the retrieve.

-Thanks
Rhett
