Shimano rod suggestion for cats Larry?

Postby Paul25934 » Thu Jun 28, 2012 7:14 pm

First post big fan of your work! anyways I am looking to buy a Shimano 7'6" - 8' long casting rod for pulling in flathead and blue cats out of log jams and strong current. Will be pairing with a 7000 abu style reel. cheaper the better (dang gas prices!) Thanks.

I would suggest checking out either the Compre musky sticks or the Teremar inshore series.
