Hi Larry, first of all I hope all is well with you and everyone else on the forum. Still slinging away at goop over here and making lures.
Here are some designs I worked on so far this fall. Continually trying to dial in my approach to this fishery with home made lures.
Peanut Epoxy for false albacore- body is Tin so it’ll be able to keep a decent sized profile without the weight lead has. This is something I found online and refined the design for albies. I thought the larger surface area would skip well on the surface- and the tin would allow it to be worked slower but still stay on top. Just a different profile offering compared to most of the other epoxy jig designs I’ve seen.

Jig squid for stripers next spring- this was my initial concept before I refined it. I can sit on designs for a really long time before I decide to actually mold it. I sculpted this some time last year as a rough draft.

Refined jig squid master video- picked it back up a week ago and decided to take it to a more clean, detailed master.

Last years squid model was a big hit. Lots of good reports from guys who fished them. The squid jig is something I’ve been thinking through for a couple seasons. My first design was essentially a tube jig, decided a simple top pour would just be easier to make and can still look good.
