The Hunt For Big Fish with Larry Dahlberg

So I'm having a problem with one of my musky lures. Its a soft plastic lure that has 1.5 inch fins sticking out of the side. The problem is that after about 100 casts the fins get cut off by the leader. The leader slowly nicks the fins.

My idea is to make a separate mold for the fins. This mold of the fins would have a post if you will, that would run into the body of the lure then branch out to securely hold it in. I'll use Flex 20 for the fins. I'll then place those fins into my lure mold and inject. Does this sound like it will hold up?

The flex 20 is plenty strong I think. Issue might be getting the fins to stick in the plastic. I guess if you have a tab with some texture or holes in it, it might just work!
