Hardness of plastic

Postby Booker » Thu Feb 28, 2019 7:34 pm

Hey guys, new lure builder here. So Im working on my 16oz musky lure and everything has been almost perfect so far. Im using alumilite soft plastic but I'm having a hard time getting this stuff to the right hardnesss. My last test was 16oz plastisol and 2 table spoons of hardener. It turned out a little better but I still need it much stiffer.

I have these side fins on my lure and I want them to be super stiff. How hard can I get plastisol? Should I look at other materials?

I would try adding another teaspoon or two or three ... of hardener. If that doesn't work, you can give Flex 20 a try.
Keep gooping! you will get it!
