Took the home made whiggleys out for their maiden salt trip ended up with about 4 mid 20” fish and got another few more on my 10” eels
Super excited to have a new staple soft bait in the Arsenal. Conditions were windy and raining but the bass didn’t seem to mind that much. Tide was ripping so was hard to get good pics by myself.

Went with an olive/pearl color pattern for both baits. Love how the whiggley slides up the leader when you hook up. Way more durable than I thought it would be. I was worried they’d rip the eyes out with the brass along with it- but it worked just as it should every time. Pretty impressed w the design, Larry. Good stuff. Glad to finally perfect my own and get some fish on it. Thanks for sharing me whiggley with us. Can’t wait to fish it in some slower tide

yup, looks like you've got it dialed in. they hold up remarkably well, especially on fish like stripers, peacocks etc that don't have slicing fangs like pike and muskies. Although, I've had some I've caught several dozen esox with that held up until they got bit in two.
I think they open up and shake their heads the moment they feel the hook, which obviously bodes well for Mr whiggley!
thanks for the pics/post!

Got into some good keepers today (fish north of 28”)
It was so much fun using the whiggley- even had fish come up all through slack tide. Super impressed with it- all the hard work payed off really enjoying mr whiggley- been getting fish like crazy on it.

I concur, when you have a perfectly functioning Whiggley it is almost magic at times when nothing else works.

Nice fish Rhett, Larry a whiggley made with elaztech plastics would be the greatest lure for all species. But I like the fact that only a few will get witness whiggely in action.

Caja you have a favorite retrieve you’ve been using? Mine is a burn sudden pause allowing line to slack a bit to make the bait dart. Striper seem to like it quite a bit.

The super fast burn, some short firm snaps with pauses and a burn and stop about 50 feet from the boat has been lethal for me!
good luck, feel the Burn!

Medium to burn with pause to let whiggley glide to right or left for Smallmouth. Had first Muskie this winter slow retrieve with long pauses.
