Whiggly and water temperature

Noticed that homemade whiggly not as lively in cold water 40-50 degrees. real tight swimming action. Also tried boiling water for a minute to bring new life to some that I made with hardner. I think they will swim better when water warms up.

yup, also plastisol tends to get a tiny bit stiffer, and dryer with age. Actually I like the ones that are a little stiffer. They store energy when you give them short sharp twitches and go some cool moves that trigger fish.

Local tackle store uses purple/grape oil to treat soft plastics in wooden bins. Forgot the name of product. Does anyone use procure jells to treat plastisol?

Procure works great with the added bonus of the scent-

I also use crystal worm oil- but I've found that plastic that is softened down enough tends to be oily enough on its own.
