Questions about Making Your Own Lures

SPOONERBLADE

Larry, weedless spoon/jig/spinnerbait, 3/4 ounce total. Tracks 30-45 degrees angle to surface of water. In your opinion what angle do you prefer for weedless lures when tracking. Thinking about sanding down the from the eyes to hook eye. making a reverse wing. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzTI6 ... UpzVzRMNjA.

main thing is that it's weedless and gets over stuff and still hooks fish when they bite it! In regards to tracking I'd try to make it so it would track at the widest range of speeds.
good luck with your project!

Lead version is 2 ounces with 10/0 beast hook. Hopefully the tungsten/plastic version will weigh in around 1 ounce to 1.5 ounces. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzTI6 ... no4RmJrZzg

The max tungsten to super plastic ratio 1/1 by volume?

You can add as much tungsten to the resin as you can until you can't pour it anymore. I've seen people make paste when using aluminum powder. Typically, you can get up to 120% and still have it flow but air bubbles become more of an issue.

Durability can start to suffer as well when you get to very high percentages (over 125%) because there is simply not enough resin binder to hold it all together.
