Questions about Making Your Own Lures

Whiggley Design Question

Postby Bklaas » Sun May 01, 2016 1:33 am

Looking into designing my own whiggley later this month. How do I go about adding weights to the whiggley? Do I add the BB's before pouring, or do I add them after and then repair the cut? Lastly, how well does the design for whiggley's line through bait work that was shown on the advanced whiggley tutorial(the brass ring around tubing)? Does the hook stay in well and still maintain good action? Thanks a bunch!

P.s- what is the best way to attach a soft plastic tail to a hard plastic or wood lure? Thanks again!

you can drop in the bb's right after you pour.
hooks stays in very well, if lure is designed properly it works great.
Best way is with some kind of screw device, followed by barbs an or glue.
good luck
