soft plastic tube baits/craws with partial hollow body

i wanna get into making my own molds and im about to purchase the soft plastic kit but my question is how would i go about making a mold for a tube or a crawfish style bait that like some big name brands have the hollow cavity in them

There are a couple of ways to do it. One, and the way some tubes are made is to create a mandril that you dip in hot plastic just like making a candle. After that you'd have to attach appendages.
The other would be to create a mold with a center "plug", that would create a hollow body.
You might want to begin with a slightly simpler design.
