Let's say I have a single cavity aluminum mold and I want to make a multicavity mold like the one on the how-to video. Could I make some masters out of casting resin in the aluminum mold ( using mold release)? Or would this ruin the aluminum mold?

absolutely! make a bunch, then make your multi-cavity.
Be sure to include hook and make sure all the air gets out of the mold cavity.
good luck,

Even with mold release, getting them out will be the toughest part. Might have to bang or slam the mold down on an angle to pop them out or get them started where you can grab them to pull them out. Its definitely not as easy as peeling soft plastic baits out because the rigid lures won't flex. Another option would be to use one of the Flex series urethane rubbers to pour your masters. They would be easier to remove from the aluminum mold than rigid castings. They too would require mold release.
