Started a new sculpt a few weeks ago

Molded the blank with some HS3

Started pouring, this is what I've come up with so far. Still deciding on eyes, alumisol hardness, etc. Initial testing is going good with an 8/0 weighted swimbait hook, but looking to upgrade to maybe even a 10/0.

Does this one look ok for Herring? Any suggestions on what I can do to make it look better? Obviously haven't touched up much yet with alumidust, nor have i added eyes.

Can't comment on the herring question but I think they look great! Would love to see some video of it in the water ... but I'm sure everything is frozen there. Nice work and please keep us posted with your progress.

Nice, very nice work. I agree though, can't wait to see them swim when the water is not hard.

Initial swim tests are looking good. I want the paddle to move a little more on a super slow retrieve so I used some white casting resin and a little sculpy to make the paddle angle more 90 degrees. I'll keep you guys posted once I get everything molded out.

The design, as it is, would be great as a burner for stripers, etc. Medium slow all the way up to burning retrieves look great. I want it to beat on a slower retrieve though. We'll see if the angle change takes care of that issue.
