Purchased a 1lb unit of high strength 3, a week later purchased a 1 lb unit of high strength 2 @ a different outlet. Opened the catalyst of the hs2 and it is crystal clear (not pink) the catalyst from the hs3 kit is pink. The same catalyst can be used for hs2 and 3. I have used the hs2 before and catalyst was pink. .?? Thanks

When you mixed the catalyst in with the HS2, it typically gets more pink in color. The dye is very faint when in the catalyst itself but as soon as mixed with the base, shows up more.

And yes, you can use the HS2 or HS3 catalyst ... you may see a slightly faster/slower cure time and a few point hardness difference but should be minimal.
