I'm curious to know the different methods people use to make the masters of the lures they intend to make. What materials do you all like to use? IE wood, plastic, scullpy clay. I trying to find materials to experiment with. Thanks for the info.

I depends a great deal, sometimes I will use an existing object, or piece of one as a basis. Sometimes skulpey bake and shape. Often mix insane amount of micro balloons in super plastic, pour in existing mold then reshape with sandpaper, rasp, files, saws etc., coat with epoxy to get super slick.
Sometimes balsa, basswood or cedar.
And sometimes an existing creature!

I like the idea of using super plastic, casting, then working it down. Once I get my prototypes fine tuned ill cast a new master and try it out. Is that what you did to make the master in the " Advanced Whiggley" Video? Thanks
