Is there a size restriction to how small a Mr.Wiggly can be made.
I'm making pattern's for two Wiggly's, one at 6 inches and another at 7 inches in length. Have any of you guys tried this before?
Larry, do you think a lower durometer mix of Alumisol will be required to get action out of a smaller scale wiggly?
Also have any of you fellow lure makers ever added a lot of weight to your wiggles, like in the neighborhood of 2 to 4 ounces?
Sorry for all the questions, first time posting.
Jerome.

The first ones I made are about 6 inches and they work fine. We often put an egg sinker directly in front of or directly under, like between the hook and the lure, when fishing whiggly. No need to apologize in regards to the question, that's why the forum is here!

Believe it or not, I'm still working no the patterns, too many projects, not enough time.

What size egg sinker did you use?

Here is a video on Makelure.com that shows making a 5" whiggley I designed. Also shows how weighting it using BBs. I vary the fall rate by how many BBs I put in them. If they were already made and I needed to get them down, I'd use Larry's egg sinker trick. For small whiggleys like this one ... it takes a very small amount of weight ... I'd start with a drop shot weight of 1/16-1/8 oz.
Go to this page and it is the 3rd video down called: Lure Making Utilizing 3D Printing

Hi Mike:
What an outstanding resource that video library is, I've looked at it before but I've never looked at the 3D printer segment, fantastic.
I've made some progress on my smaller Wiggly's have a look everybody please let me know if you think these might work, or what I can do to make them better.
Thanks.
Jerome.

So glad you are getting some benefit from the library. A word of advice about whiggley,; making them soft and swimmy or really hitting the belly with weight to keep them stable is great for sure, but stiffer ones that only whiggle (ha ha) when burned, and fished with short sharp erratic twitches and hangs alternated with various length burns is sometimes the magic ticket.
One of my seven immutable laws of angling is, ..Let the fish decide!!
Looking great to me!!

Very nice.
How does it swim? How do you rig it? How long is it?
