Spybait

Postby Zjohnson23 » Thu May 22, 2014 7:23 am

I made a Spybait out of a no. 7 flatrap and it works perfect on the fall, it shimmies really well, but on a straight retrieve it doesn't shimmy at all. Up to this point I have made it with alumilite white on the bottom half, tungsten powder weighted, and alumifoam on the top half. What would be the best way to weight it in order to get it to shimmy on a straight retrieve?

Thanks,
Zach

depends on the definition of shimmy. I suspect you will need to either change the connection point, add a lip of some kind front or rear, joint it, etc.
lots of variables!
good luck, keep us posted on your progress.
