All of the foams float. The less dense they are, the higher they float, and the more they expand prior to cure.
The standard alumifoam is the most dense and is also the toughest. Depending on what kind of fish you are fishing, and how long, and how large the threads are on the screw eyes you use, it's certainly not out of the question to use screw eyes with alumifoam. I'd try it and see. If you're fishing bass I wouldn't be concerned.
