Thank you Larry. I gotta tighten up that mackerel pattern a bit. Might have needed to make the shad spot a touch bigger too now that i look at it. They should get bit regardless

Great work, Rhett! They look really nice! Are these painted with Alumidust and then dipped in Alumisol?

Yep. I paint the inside of the mold for the base coats of colors I want then go through the fine details then dip them in a super thinned clear alumisol for some shine and to lock in any pigments that may not fully set into the plastic.

Really starting to see where using alcohol based markers in combination with black alumidust can really make the lure pop. Outline in marker, fill in with alumidust. Try it out guys!

Cool looking baits! Fish that mack one in the Canal in June when the macks come in and you'll get hammered. btw, should have mentioned in the other thread. My suggestions on colors for the Cape were based on what I have seen in the Canal at that time. If you are fishing up towards Nauset, Race Point, etc. might be a little different. I know the squid are often up that way spring time. If so, pink is a good color. Pearl is pretty much good anywhere. Canal typically has mackeral and/or herring in June. Possibly some peanut bunker too.

This is some great info. I plan on making some more of these mackerel pattern ones as well. And obviously some more herring pattern lures.

Finished a classic redhead pattern one today too. Turned out pretty sharp.
