Alumilite white Vs RC3 Vs regular

Postby Nufo » Fri Oct 11, 2013 10:28 am

What are the advantages or disadvantages between the different resins. I'm currently making large 11" slow sink single jointed glide baits if that helps but also do large top waters, crankdowns and wake baits.

Thank you for the insight

Alumilite Regular was one of the original formulations Alumilite ever developed. Its a staple in our line and gives you a high heat deflection, durable part that is used for a wide variety of applications in many industries.

The RC-3 is similar in many ways but has a slightly less Hdt (heat deflection temperature ... still close to 200 F) than Alumilite Regular but is slightly more user friendly ... no need to shake the B side, has an extra 30-60 seconds of open time and is slightly thinner.

Both work for many of the same applications and much of it is user preference but when meter mix equipment is used ... RC-3 is preferred to avoid have to aggitate the B side of the Regular, where the highest Hdt is required, people stick with the Regular. The RC-3 also accepts dyes a little better and is widely used in the mfg of rock climbing hand holds for its ease of use and durability.

Hope that helps.
