Decal Paper?

Postby Jigfishn10 » Mon May 27, 2013 5:07 am

When you printed the perch images on decal paper was there specific type of paper used? I was also wonder why you put the printed images in water prior to applying on the lure?

Thank you.

It's called WATERSLIDE DECAL PAPER. You have to put it in water to get the image to come off. It's the same technique used in decorating model cars and airplanes for the past 60+ years.
Yes, it's a special paper and requires a coat of clear acrylic over the image after printing. It's much easier than airbrushing, you get professional results, plus no need to buy an airbrush, compressor and lots of paint.
