Def. diggin' this color pattern. I'm working on doing something similar with some copper colors, greens, blues, purples, reds, metallics etc. I call it my "goby ninja" color pattern.

I owe a lot to you guys for your makelure.com. I found a new hobby that keeps me out of trouble that I'm actually kind of decent at! I never had any artistic talents that I knew of before this. Thanks again!

Thanks so much Larry!

I've got a couple anglers in south Florida who want to try a "baby snakehead" pattern for largemouth. I'm going to see if I can whip something like that up.

PHENOM!!!

I'm admittedly going to try to plagiarize a pattern or two to put on the split tail grub ... in particular the jelly gill ... that looks sweet.

Thanks guys! Mike, twin tail grub is one of my favorite lures for largies. Such a great profile that looks almost froggish..almost crawish... and somewhat minnow like. Covers all the bases.

Here's a couple more i whipped up this afternoon. Now i'm starting to play around with pouring different color plastics instead of painting over everything. I tend to find that the darker color plastics cause the alumidust to appear a little different. So far the one that seems to take all colors equally well and make them really "pop" is painting over a pearl plastic (just alumisol and the pearl alumidust mixed to the opacity you desire. Anyway, enough rambling from me. Here's lures.

Sweet, sweet lures.

Sparkling copper head with a black and copper flake body. I dig it. Somethings gonna gobble this up. Not sure if the color will make that much difference but I think it has the profile and action to make up the difference.

a couple 10.5" models i like. top is just tiger stripe painted with pewter alumidust. Bottom is my favorite: "Goby ninja" gold pattern over a black with copper flake body. Love it.

Hey mike so for the Jelly Gill I do the black first, The i outline all the black with Forest Green then use either "green" or "lite green" to fill in anything I want green. I think having the slightly darker green fading off the black really makes it look realistic.
