Color Question

Postby Jordan_Weeks » Sun Mar 24, 2013 3:41 pm

Larry, I apologize if you have a topic on this already but I'm interested in pouring plastics in yellow and green chartruse. How can I do this?

Thank you.

No Prob, it's just a matter of adding the right color dye or pigment to the alumisol.

You can add either Alumilite dyes or even Alumidust to the soft plastic OR simply paint the Alumidust on after the lure is out of the mold and then lock it in with heat.

I'd like to add the color directly to the melted alumisol, but I don't see chartruse on the website? What am missing? For exampe, what color dye would I add to yellow to make it more chartruse? Green?

We don't carry chartruesse dye specifically although we are looking into carrying neon colors. How I get that color is adding the Light Gold or Yellow Gold and a little bit of the Light Green color to give me a pearlescent color that I can not get with dye.

Thanks Mike. I'll try it and keep looking for the neon colors on the website!
