Tungsten powder

Does the tungsten powder change the color of the soft plastic or can you see the darkness of it in your lure?

It will turn the soft plastic gray where it settles out. It is defintely darker.

The other day I "painted"/"dusted" over the dark spot with pearl Alumidust and heat set it like Larry shows in the video. I was impressed. It did not completely cover it, but it was not bad.

If you use a layer of totally white, not pearl, Alumidust as a base it can make the tungsten pretty much disappear. Pearl over it will actually come out silver.
Which reminds me, any of the Alumidust colors when applied over other colors, especially dark ones or black, can yield very unexpected and pleasing colors.

Larry, good point, but .... my kit did not come with white or the bright red I see you using. Are you suggesting that other colors may be coming out. :?:

I double checked the Alumilite Site. No bright red or white that I saw. Oh well.
