Ok I'm ready to jump into my first soft plastic lure making project - a Mr. Whiggley. I have become fascinated with the action and versatility of the Whiggley after watching Larry fish it on several of his shows. I have researched the techniques to make it and ready to invest in the materials but there is one final thing that I can't seem to find out...how the heck to rig the thing when fishing!
If I use my standard soft minnow type lure rig, which is a long shank hook through the head and out the mid body or a weightless texas rig set up, I think it will kill the action of the Whiggley or at the very least place the hook to far forward for consistent hook up. Can someone explain the best way to rig it or possibly post a pic?
Thanks,
Chris
