Three piece mold

Postby Chicotrout » Fri Aug 24, 2012 8:03 pm

Hello to all, newbie here,...I have been trolling this forum for a while and I have learned a lot about mold making, but I wanted to know if there are instructions somewhere on how to make Larry's three piece mold for his Mr. Wiggley. I have searched the forum, but to no avail and I am having a hard time visualizing how to pour the three pieces with the keys set correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually four pieces!
First make two piece tail mold, open at base of tail and make sure to create either bumps or dimples on top or forward side of tail.
This can be done with separate tail for a master or by "claying up" body of the whole master all the way to the top at where you want the top of your mold to be while you "clay up" only to the half way point where you want your seam to be.
Incorporate finished "tail mold" into second "body" mold making sure to use plenty of mold release (several light coats get it in all the cracks and corners) where they join.
