Sounds like you are making hollow lures? This is tricky. I suggest your mold be made of Alumilite Quick Set. It is harder, stiffer, and it holds its shape better for thin and exacting shapes.
Next, Super Glue is pretty tough to get a proper alignment to hold on lures like that. I have played some with the style of lure construction I think you are doing, but I find that actually using a mold to maintain perfect lure part alignment during gluing is required.
Have you considered making a hollow shell by rotomolding like Larry shows in is DVD, then filling with Alumilite 610 foam? It works very well.
I think my bucket list has a hole in the bottom!
