Whiggley Lays over!

Mr. Whiggley lays over on his side and spins when I jerk.. does this mean I need more weight in the belly?

Sounds like you might have some issues with your center line (location of eye at front), the shape or other control surface is off kilter, or you may not be getting your hook perfectly centered. Adding weight to the belly will help mitigate any of the above issues (especially resting on it's side), but may not totally solve the problem of spinning. Just gotta keep messing with it!
good luck,

Thanks Larry, after closer inspection one side of my bait was a tad bit wider than the other. I took a little off that side, and added a nail to the belly. Now it lays about 1/4 of the way over on the jerk, and has a great tail kick. It looks just like a wounded fish.

Thank you for the help.
