Larry
On your tutorial on how to make the bama rig type bait I understand how you made the mold out of an older lure body but how did you get the mold to go beyond where the plastic will level and become the back where the 5 wires are coming out,,,Actually the hole that you are pouring the plastic in to make the head...I understand you covered the sleeve that connected all three wires but there is still space in the mold where you set the pliers to hold the wires strait
Good deal thanks

The mold has a totally open back. The pliers i used to hold the rivet in place were placed on top of the mold.
It's no different than pouring water into a glass, then using a fork or spoon to hold a straw in a vertical position!
good luck,

Yes sir I know that. My question is how did you make the mold opening so deep. Or deeper than the head of the lure. Was your proto type bait longer than what u were pouring in the finished product.

Yes, I used the front end of a jointed swim bait for my master!

Yes, I used the front end of a jointed swim bait for my master! By making it fairly deep it allows me to make a couple different sizes from the same mold if I wish.

Thanks. I wish y'all would do a tutorial on making a 4" paddle tail swimbait used on bama rigs.

We've done one on paddle tails but not with the head molded in. Pretty easy to figure out after watching how to make a paddle tail. Just have to make a mold that a jig head will fit inside.
