DAHLBERG I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

I want to make a simple, flat back, paddle tail swimbait. I dont want to have to use an already existing swimbait to make the mold.... HOW DO I MAKE A TEMPLATE????

Since a picture is worth a thousand words I refer you to the various tutorials on the makelure.com website. I suggest you make your initial model out of skulpy clay.

It's not too bad for carving if you use a very sharp very thin blade, but sanding works very well. A dremel tool is also very useful for final shaping.
Depending on how much material you have to remove, sometimes it's a good idea to just partially bake the skulpey which makes it a little softer and less likely to flake or chip if you take too deep a cut.

Also, Im looking for a clear, fairly tough plastic that won't "rot" in the saltwater. any suggestions?
