Worm oil?

Do you guys use worm oil to keep your plastic baits fresh? Is one kind of oil better than another? And if remelting your plastic do you try and wash off the oil before you remelt if they are still real oily?

I just spray one quick spray of yum F2 garlic scent in a zip lock and swish the lures around in it.

Fish like garlic?? I have used anise oil before, it smells like black liquorice. Does the oil have any effect when re-melting?
