Using a thermometer?

Postby eriksat1 » Thu Mar 15, 2012 7:22 am

Has anyone tried using a one of those deep fryer thermometers to measure the temp. of alumisol when heating it up? Or maybe it's a bad idea to use one in a microwave? It might work good on a hot plate?

Sure, that's what I used to do before microwaves were invented! Once you get the hang of it, and remember to really keep your eye on the plastic when the microwave is running, and don't get preoccupied with painting or unwanted phone calls, it becomes second nature.
I used to have a microwave with a temp probe built into it. It is highly advised NOT to put anything metal in your microwave...
