Questions about Making Your Own Lures

making a two piece lead mold

Larry,

Again, thanks for all the valuable advice. I have an offshore jig design that i've developed. I have the blank designed, and need your advice to get to the point of being able to make the lead lures. If you could reccomend a process and products to go from a blank through the mold process and end with a mold that you can pour lead into that would be awesome. And fisherman to fisherman, I'd
love to send you some.

Thanks Larry

Again, check out the Makelure.com tutorials. At first blush, depending on the detail, the mold putty is likely your best option.

Thanks Larry,

I just spoke with Carol and Im about to order the products needed. I was curious if you could reccomend someone that could create a metal mold for lead pouring from my blank. Thanks again and look forward to the lure build off!

You can buy a blank jig mold from Do it Molds and have a local tool and die shop make the custom cavity for you.
