Do alumisol and plastisol mix?

Postby eriksat1 » Tue Mar 13, 2012 12:57 pm

When re-melting old soft plastic baits like rubber worms or old bulldawgs that are torn up that were made out of regular plastisol will they melt/mix ok with alumisol?

Yes, but some lures are made of a different type of material that won't. An example would be the frog legs on Larry Dahlberg's Diving Frog.

I would test first by melting the scrap material. If it melts, then you can try to mix in the alumisol. Plastisol is a generic name for the type of compound, while Alumisol is a specific mix formulation.
I think my bucket list has a hole in the bottom!
