positioning clay blank on side for 2 pc mold

Postby jsanders » Fri Mar 02, 2012 1:49 pm

I'm making a wiggly type bait but want to have the fish on its side and in the mold so I can use the powders better. My plan is to suspend it like you did from a wire, pouring to the center, let it cure and spray with r to r release and pouring the second half. Is using wire to suspend it the best way? I really don't want to use that blue putty stuff.

You are really missing some great strip fishing right now, we just have to dodge the tornadoes. A guy caught a 45# + a couple of days ago.

Thanks

disregard this post. If I plan to use tungsten or lead I'll need it to be top and bottom halves.
