Molding and pouring trolling heads

I want to make a silicone mold to pour the insert for a trolling head. I have some that I have turned and would like to mold the head and place the insert into place before pouring the clear. This knowledge is being held pretty close to the chest. I have been told that it is done with a single not a split mold and is poured vertically from the bottom of the lure facing up. Any help out there that you can share? I was also told that there are a couple of dvds on the subject but I haven't found them as of yet.

Hi Dirt
This is a really easy one! Just make a vertical mold with an open back using an existing head as a model. I'd use high strength 3 for the mold. If you're using clear urethane you'll need to cure the casting in a pressure pot (Harbor Freight supplies them at a modest cost) in order to prevent bubbles from forming.
When you place your original in the mold make sure you've inserted a tube for alignment purposes.
good luck,
L
