Rod for Trinidad 20A

Postby BJNestor » Sat Nov 19, 2011 10:55 pm

Larry (or Bantam1),
What rod would you suggest setting up with a Trinidad 20A for sardines on 20-25lb mono? Outside of a 7ft (med or med-heavy) Terez, what else would you suggest? Anything besides a Shimano? I'm looking to use this for 1+ day trip out of San Diego for 20+lb tuna.

Thanks

I work for Shimano so I will only recommend Shimano and GLoomis rods. I also believe in the products because they flat work.

The Terez rods were designed to fish braided line with short leaders. If this is how you plan to spool your reel then I would go with the Terez. I use the Teramar TMC80MH for a 20-25 pound bait stick. If an 8' rod is too long for your taste then take a look at the Tallus TLCM70MHA. The GLoomis Pro Blue PBR842C is another option.

Thanks Bantman1. I was thinking about the Teramar since I'd also be able to use it to throw irons, but I'm thinking a 7ft for off shore tuna. What's the difference between the Tallus TLCM70MHA and TLC70MHSBA?
