Another treble question

Postby Questor » Mon Aug 22, 2011 4:39 pm

When fishing plugs, the trebles often get so twisted up and mangled that it looks like somebody worked them over with two pairs of pliers. This includes saltwater trebles. Have you found any particularly good trebles, or single-hook replacements for trebles that are tougher? Thanks!

That's a good question. I'd also like to know!

I THINK YOU NEED TO BE CAREFUL ABOUT REPLACING HOOKS WITH ANY THING HEAVY AS YOU CHANGE THE ACTION OF THE BAIT. IF YOU ARE STILL CATCHING FISH,REPLACE THEM WITH THE SAME TYPE AND SIZE HOOK. YOU CAN TRY A STRONGER HOOK IN THE SAME SIZE AND SEE IF THEY HELP, BUT CHECK THE ACTION AND FLOAT. OWNERS ARE GOOD..
