hey would the shimano calcutta 400b be ok for inshore grouper small blacktip stingray snook redfish jack crevalle etc. plz let me know and if so a good rod to go with it and line for best use

It'll work ok, a TE would be better. I'd go with a 7'6" heavy action Teremar.
