I would like to see one as well - say fishing for Red Drum in the surf of Cape Hatteras National Seashore... that is, if you can get access to the Point

Hi guys
I've shot a few "surf" shows. One many years ago on the west coast of Costa Rica fishing for big black snook, and another in west africa fishing for Tarpon. I love it, but waiting for the short tide windows can try one's patience! The Africans have some very interesting "tricks" for surf fishing.
Hatteras would certainly be a good choice!
best

F.Y.Y. - access to Cape Point at the Cape Hatteras National Seashore has been effectively cut off.

No surprise there. That's typical national park mentality. They closed it at night during turtle nesting season too. A couple of years ago there was an attempt by a congressman and a senator to make the park service back off, but that never got anywhere.

Two NC Senators and a Representative tried to that again this year.

The snook fishing on the west coast is phenomenal. Overall just good sized fighting fish. What lures do you recommend for that area? I had moderately good success with redhead zara spook and caught some nice snook on topwater. Anything you would recommend for that area?
