I'll be in Marco with my father in law at the end of this month. We've fished with guides in the past and done well with live bait for snook but it seems like we end up in a ladyfish rut when we fish jigs a plugs from his boat. This time of year would you focus on mangroves or current breaks on the beaches? Or, am I missing something more obvious? I only get 5-10 days to fish here each year so my saltwater knowledge is very limited.
Thanks - Erik.

We do have some small wide glides ready to toss!!

Try hiring Andrew Bostick for a day if he's over in that area. You can google him.
I know he used to spend part of his season there.

Snook will not be on our beaches in Feb. They might be lower in rivers and creeks thinking about heading to the harbor, but not the beach or the flats. Right now the gulf is 64 degrees here about an hour north. We dont see snook in the gulf or beach till June.
