Hi R,
I've been there many, many times and filmed several shows there. In fact, my whole family has been there.
It's very well run and a great place to go.
The best lures for tarpon there, and it's 99% vertical jigging at the river mouth or in the ocean, are either "Coast Hawks" or jigging spoons, like a crippled herring.
THe most effective method is a fresh caught sardine on a circle hook. bring Sabiki rigs to catch sardines.
As almost everywhere, the snook are unpredictable. Most are caught casting jigs, rattle traps etc in the surf, although I've caught some big ones speed trolling minnow lures on slack tide right over the bars at the river mouth.
Say hi to everyone for me. I think over 90% of the staff has been there since day one!
have fun, good luck!
L
