PUNTA CANA

I'd like to say I'm your #1 Fan, been watching since the early ESPN days even at a young age!
Well, vacation to me means going fishing and there will be those days again this year, but as always there is a honey-do vacation lined up as well. We're going to Punta Cana. Charters in this area do not interest me, but surf fishing on the private resort does. I'm sure there are schools of snapper, jack, and pompano in this part of the world cruising the surf. Any recommendations, advice, tips, or what to expect would be appreciated!
