larry i am going to the rio colorado lodge in costa rica i have been there before and the fishing is great can u recomend some lures for me to purchase to bring with me on this tripwe will be mostly ocean fishing not in the river thanks hope to talk to u soon

bring sabiki rigs to catch live sardines, and 9/0 circle hooks to fish them on.
jigging spoons in the 3-5" range.
I'm sure the lodge has plenty of coast hawks.
I'd also bring some gamakatsu or owner trebles (3/0-5/0) to put on any of the lures you use, as they will increase your hook up rate significantly.

thanks larry i will let u know how i do down there but i was not sure what u meant buy 3 to 5" spoons can u tell me a little more what u mean thanks

Be sure to post a report as soon as you get back! I'm headed to Rio Parismina a few weeks after your trip. Its further south than where you'll be on the Colorado but from what I can tell the style of fishing is pretty similar so I'll be dying to know how you do!!

chris k i was just talking to some of my buddies that were just at rio colorado lodge they jumped 125 tarpon in three days only landing about 45 to 50 not bad for five guys they also caught some small tuna and some jacks they said someone at the lodge also got a tripletail while they were there i will let u know how i make out when i get back if u want i will email u some of the pics of are trip when we get back
