hex bars vs. daimond bars

hey guys last time i was out rockfish fishing and i had a brand spanking new 8oz hex bar to try out, just my luck i lost it on the second drop. since i really didn't get to try it out very much i was wondering if any of you guys have used them with success in the past. i always get something on a diamond bar, but i want to try something new and different. let me know how u guys like hex bars and if theres any other jigs u like write 'em down.

I've read some threads where guys are using both hex and diamond bars with shrimp flys below with good success.
