Q for Larry - Quepos Costa Rica

Larry,

Do you have any recommendations for Captains out of Quepos Costa Rica for Sailfish? This is a rare opportunity for me; my first time to Costa Rica and first time trying for Sailfish. Any help would be appreciated.

It's been ages since I've been to Quepos so I'm not sure who's left fishing out of that port. Most of the guys I know used to hang there during the peak, then move up or down the coast as the migration moved by. There's a guy named Capt Starbuck who used to fish there about 10 years ago who is a super Ace, and if he's still around he'd be the guy I suggest.
Wish I could be of more help. Maybe someone on the site can help us out.

Larry....I really appreciate your reply. I've tried to search for Capt. Starbuck online with no luck. Do you remember the name of his boat or fleet at that time?

Yes, I would certainly like to get Captain recomendations, reports and experiences from any forum members who have fished from Quepos recently....Thanks.
