Try PV cought and released 200-300 YF with my wife. $1,200 a day for 2-4 people. Good luck

Thanks V

MM:

I agree with the above posts; PV is a romantic setting with some cow tuna. Unlike other resort towns like Cancun, it has a nice real 'old town' flair to the downtown. Tons of great restaurants and the boardwalk is a fun place to send the evening. However, its a long run out to the fishing grounds for tuna or billfish (30-50 miles) and accordingly boats aren't cheap.

Ixtapa (ZIH) is one of the cheapest MX destinations with great sailfish and roosterfish action. The old town is not as nice as PV and the resort town of Ixpata is touristy. Still it has great weather and is a possible option.

Cabo is another favorite of my wife's. Plenty to do on a honeymoon; great accomodations and world class fishing. Not as many real big cow tuna like PV but great for striped marlin, dorado, etc. and boats are reasonable.

Hope that helps somewhat.
